What these cover

These terms apply when you engage We Sort Sites to design, build or look after a website. Your written quote sits alongside them. Where the quote and these terms disagree, the quote wins, because it describes your specific job.

What we agree to do

The work is whatever the written quote says it is, at the price the quote states. We will not add charges you have not agreed to. If you ask for something outside the quote, we will tell you what it costs before doing it, and you can say no.

What we need from you

Your text, your photos, and reasonably prompt answers. Most delays on a small website are waiting on those, not on us.

You confirm that anything you give us is yours to use. If you hand us a photo you do not own the rights to, we cannot know that, and the responsibility stays with you.

Payment

Half of the agreed price before we start building, and the balance when the site goes live. Prices are quoted exclusive of any taxes that apply.

Hosting and your domain name are separate from the build price. We will tell you what they cost before you commit to them, and we do not add a margin to them.

Current standard prices, for reference: One page $449, Standard site $899, Shop or bookings $1,690, and an optional care plan at $45 per month. Your quote is what binds, not this list.

Changes and revisions

Two rounds of changes are included in the build price. In practice we rarely count, but a job that turns into an open-ended redesign is a new quote, and we will say so before doing the work rather than afterwards.

Who owns what

You do. On final payment, the finished website and its content are yours. The domain is registered in your name from the outset, not ours.

If you leave us, you keep everything. We hand over the files and the logins and we do not hold anything back as leverage.

We may show your finished site as an example of our work and link to it, unless you ask us not to. Ask, and we will not.

Stopping

You can stop after receiving the written quote and owe us nothing at all.

Once building has started, see the refund policy for how the deposit is treated.

A care plan can be cancelled at any time. Nothing renews unless you say yes to it.

What we do not promise

We do not promise particular search rankings, particular traffic, or a particular number of enquiries. Nobody honest can, and anyone who does is guessing or lying.

We aim to keep your site available and working, but we do not control your hosting provider, your domain registrar, or the internet between you and your customers.

Liability

If we get something wrong, we will put it right. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

The law that governs this agreement is confirmed in your written quote. If you want it stated before you commit, ask and we will put it in writing.
